Pastor's Notes
What an awesome God we serve! Our trip to the Dominican Republic/Haiti was a huge success and very productive. Unlike many mission trips we didn't just go there to help in the work but to provide for them ways to assist them with their lives. They were taught how to cook using solar energy and we provided the tools for them to build their own solar ovens. We also led sewing classes so they can start their own projects to sew for themselves and also to sew to be able to raise money and we will continue to support them even though we are a long distance away. The destruction in Haiti was overwhelming and we came home knowing that our job now is to make people and agencies aware of the need down there and the urgency with which it is needed. I thank our church for their financial and prayerful support while I was serving God's people.
