Ministries

On these pages you will find some of the many ways that we as The Warwick United Methodist Church reach out to the least and the lost of our community and beyond. We are located in a small community but as our motto says, we are "Big Enough to Serve and Small Enough to Care."

Our Methodist Father, Rev. John Wesley, wrote about the importance of what he called "Works of Piety" and "Works of Mercy."  We currently have three separate Bible studies being conducted by the members of our church; one an informal ecumenical in-home study led by laity, a ladies only study led by a lay person, and another study conducted at the church led by our Pastor. This to go along with our two worship services conducted every Sunday morning at nine and eleven o'clock. In the summer months our nine o'clock service is held on the shores of Lake Blackshear with a casual setting and people sitting in their boats or on land. These would be the "Works of Piety" that Wesley wrote about.

On these pages you will also find some of the ways we conduct our "Works of Mercy" by reaching out to our neighbors. Things such as our Fishes & Loaves Outreach Ministry (feeding and clothing the needy), our involvement with the Fuller Center for Housing, our Back-to-School Bash where we give out school bags filled with school supplies and our GIP (God's Important People) luncheon served at 12:00 the second Tuesday of every month for the Senior Citizens of our community.

These are a few of the ways we work very hard at going beyond the walls of our church buildings and out of our comfort zone for our community and beyond.
